
There are two boat cruises at Murchison falls National Park daily. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon at 2pm. The boat cruise is a two-hour adventurous journey involving lots of sight-seeing of the wildlife along the river banks. The birds, the waters themselves and much more. Murchison falls National Park is the biggest park in Uganda. It offers the best sites for launch cruise trips that one can use as a link to other parks or safari activities. For example bird watching at the Albert Delta and at the top of the falls but only if one books a boat cruise leading them to such destinations. The Albert boat cruise usually done in the evening hence also known as “The Sundowners launch trip” commences at Paraa lodges and cruises slowly on Nile waters to a point where the Nile splits to create the islands where the shoebill usually stays and fishes from. From this point, visitors follow the hippopotamus trail so as to avoid the floating vegetation that hinders the fishing of the shoe bill.
The bottom of the falls boat cruise is the most admired by visitors that commences from Paraa dock towards the mighty Murchison falls. One will feel as if they are cruising on herds of elephants, school of hippos, crocodiles. Because the boat gets really close to them as they also encounter various bird species. Visitors will also get to see “The Devil’s Cauldron” from a distance.
