Sport fishing is a prohibited activity that can only be done having got permission from Uganda Wildlife Authority. The park does not provide the necessary equipment for this activity. So one has to come prepared prior, and book their spot in advance as the permits for this are limited.

THE KANIYO-PABIDI FOREST
This is a natural forest covered by mahogany and ironwood trees. It is home to several primates and the most common activity in here is chimpanzee trekking. There is also plenty of bird species. RABONGO-PABIDI FOREST

The forest also harbors various monkey types, baboons, several bird species, plenty of butterflies, and plants that act as medicine to the neighboring communities
BULIGI AREA
The savannah grassland here makes it thrilling for game viewing in addition to the attractive sights of the marvelous East African rift valley at the top of Lake Albert overlooking Democratic Republic of Congo. The activities carried out here are game drives and game viewing in the presence of an experienced guide to help with the identification of the various games seen here.
THE PARK’S FLORA AND FAUNA
Savannah grassland generally occupies the largest area of the park, followed by tropical forest and woodland. All of which are habitats to over 500 bird species and 76 mammal species, including four of the big five namely, the leopard, lion, elephant and buffaloes.
BUDONGO FOREST
Subsquently, budongo forest is situated in the South Western part of the park. It connects with the neighboring community which connects with the Kaniyo Pabidi forest known for Chimpanzee tracking. The forest walk here starts from Busingiro eco-tourism site on the Masindi Bugungu route to Murchison falls National Park. Here one will see some of the various butterfly species. There are plenty of wildlife as they stroll and a sea of bird species, some common and others rare.
